Antigone and the White

Press Release
Elektrohaus, Hamburg, Germany, 2013

We, children of joy, have took the appearance of La Pinta, the smudge, the one who is garishly made up, in others words, the lady of night, the old white prostitute. We have bring her, Our mother, on this stage, more similar to war theater, place of action, than to a picturesque space, even tough that was never an antinomy for us, and we have painted. We painted the hidden side of the stars, or the absence of stars — disaster — as inversed mirror of the transparent world. We have painted the top in showing what is hidden below, and have presented the front in showing the fleeing of what is behind. We offer a multiplicity of vanishing point, a totality of complex vision in a worry about a projection which will be neither mutilated nor walled off. In taking these celestial objects as nodal point, We could say in the light of day that we have seen the stars.
It wasn’t a project. It is a Desire, we forget. It is a Desire without object and without subject. A Desire, We affirm, which distinguish itself by its absolute obstinacy, a Desire without compromise, authentic and without pity. A Desire to keep on the journey and to fall in love with Antigone. We fall in love with this little girl, La Niña, Her little girl and the relentless turbulence, for a overwhelming love, as the artistic affirmation is. An act of love, which is in the same time possessive and claiming, aggressive and insistent. With and like Antigone, We have changing the Perspective, We are breaking the law, We are breaking the walls. For that, as artist, we should pay for this decided movement and We take the responsibility of action and their risks, that We couldn’t control totally. Letting a place to the unpredictability and take the responsibility relative to Unpredictability.
We shaped something to an uncertain horizon, like the movement of the artistic creation is. And We have questions.
What is the horizon of art ?
What is this uncertain horizon; we, all, invent everyday to show and hide the abyss ?
As artists, We don’t know where we go and headlessness, We continue to move. We don’t step back, We keep moving. We want to affirm, through this exhibition, the Desire of the Impossibility, the Desire of the Unknown, as the Ontological Possibility of Art.
